I planned on going to Matthew's game this morning and then going to Krista's going away party this afternoon. But, I ended up sitting at the vet's office for three hours. Big Guy really wasn't looking well last night so took him to the vet this morning. He is spending the night at the hospital. I did go to Krista's party and got to Central for the last two innings of the second game. They had a double header and Central won both of them.

Matthew went the junior prom at Central last night. His aunt Renee was very nice and came to LaCrosse so that he could take her car to the prom. I guess 'nice' cars are very important for proms. Everybody went to Mormon Coulee Park first so that pictures could be taken. After that I went to Hungry Peddler to eat with the girls. Krista went with us, too. Krista will be moving to San Diego in a couple weeks to be with her husband.

The ballgame was at the Omni Center in Onalaska today. I noticed Matthew still had his sore finger protected, but he did play. I'm hoping that they won another game. The score was 5 - 0 when I left. There were some changes made and some new players came in and Matthew went out. So, I decided to leave early. It was not a nice day for baseball. It was windy and quite cool...in the 50's. Three days ago we broke a record with a high temp of 89.

Kristie and I went to Copeland Park yesterday to watch Matthew's baseball team. I thought I would get some good pictures because I don't have a fence to compete with there. But, during warmups Matthew dislocated a finger and had to go to walk-in clinic. The team won. They are undefeated as of right now. I think that is 6 games that they have won.

Renee, Kristie and I went to a Sugarland concert last night. We thought it was at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. So, we stayed at a Best Western which was only about a mile away. We took a cab to the Center and it didn't look like anything was going on there. We found out that there was no concert scheduled there. We weren't even in the right city. It was in Minneapolis at the Target Center. So, then we had to cab it again. It cost us about $50. for cabs to cover our mistake.
We did get there right on time for the opening performer, which was Billy Currington, and saw him for the first time. Sugarland again put on a great show. We have seen them a few times. We generally go see Sugarland anytime they are fairly close....like within a two or three hour drive. Most of my pictures turned out pretty dark, but here are pictures taken at this show.

Baseball season has started here. Central played a double header today and won both games. It wasn't really terrific weather for baseball but not too bad.

We had to go to a funeral today. Grandpa Schwaegerl died March 17th at 101 years old. This picture was taken last year on his 100th birthday.

Football is done for the season. I went to most of the games. Sometimes I didn't see the entire game because I just don't like the new colder weather. Basketball season is coming up soon but I hear that Matthew may not play basketball this year. That would be quite a switch.
I did go to an Academic Achievement Awards recently that Matthew had the honor of being in. This was for his sophomore year.
Krista is busy planning her wedding which will be on Jan. 3, 2009. Ryan will be home on leave for Christmas. But, she will stay at home until school season is over and then move to San Diego with Ryan.

Renee, Kristie and I went to the Walworth County Fair in Elkhorn, WI to see Little Big Town on Friday the 29th. We wanted to go to Madison anyway for Taste Of Madison, so went a little further to take in the fair. I always take pictures no matter where I go now, so here are my pics from the fair. Seems to be my newest hobby.

After going to the WI State Fair, I stayed at Renee's and then we went to the fair in Oshkosh. We only went for one reason.....to see Keith Anderson. We managed to get backstage passes from the radio station and got to meet him again. We had good spots to watch the show. Couldn't get any closer than directly in front of the stage in the center right in front of Keith.
We met some fans there and visited with them which helped to make the time go faster while waiting for the show to start. They also had backstage passes. We also met two other girls that didn't have passes, so they stretched out on the floor and saved enough space for all of us so we didn't lose our spot while meeting Keith. Hopefully we will run into these girls again at another Keith concert. Check out my pics.

Renee and I went to the WI State Fair to see Josh Turner and Pat Green. We met Monie, Mike and Jodie and their girls there and got to visit with them before the show. Pics from the show are here.
So, we got back from Country Fest on Monday the 30th, Then, on July 3rd we left again. This time we went to Summerfest in Milwaukee to see Tim McGraw. Jason Aldean opened for him. It was dark by the time Tim came on but I did manage to get a few decent pictures of him. We drove back to Sun Prairie and stayed at Renee's overnight and came home the next day.

Kristie, Renee and I went to Country Fest in Cadott, WI from June 26 to June 29. I survived the camping again this year. Actually, we only camped two nights out of the four. The other two nights we packed up and stayed at a motel in Chippewa Falls. We couldn't handle the wind and rain and decided to leave before the tent fell down.
We saw sooo many performers that I can't mention all of them. I tried to get pictures of everybody. Didn't do well on the night pictures again. I'm still trying to learn how to handle the camera well enough that I can get some decent pictures in the dark.

We went to Gunner Fest in Desoto, WI to see Keith Anderson. It was a great show. The girls got there earlier than I did and met Keith and talked to him before the show. After the show I just happened to be in the right place at the right time and got one of his big hugs. I got very few pics from this show but KQ98 had some on their website so I borrowed a few. The best ones are from KQ98.
